This Mercedes Benz is completely prepared for rallying. ( FIA nummer A-5269)

Completely in original state, and the body is at mint condition and is ready to race !

The car was first used in track and did 2 times the 24 Hours of Spa 1985/1986 + various Endurance Races.

After, it was modified by Snobeck the official Mercedes rally team to do the Tour Auto with Didier Auriol, where they finish 2 Overall  behind the powerfull R5 Maxi, the car was also rallied in various rallyes in France

The preparation consist of :

  • FIA aproved Matter multipoint steel rollcage
  • Snobeck group A engine: 285 CV at 6850 rpm.
  • Original AMG individual throttlebody´s with Carbon airbox and stainless exhaustsystem

Peugeot 205 T16 EVO 1
Prototype Factory Rally cars are very special "animals" All left parts are teinted blue when the right ones are red. This specification was done to help the mecanics to do a quicker job in the Mondial. The chassis is very specific, and gearbox, engine, suspensions, brakes are also specific. The dashboard is hand made in Kevlar and you have access to the electric system directly. All parts of factory cars are hand made and the body is kevlar. The EVO 1 is very reliable as the car was built to be driven flat out by the top drivers in the world. And don t forget that the 205 T16 is 2 times world champion who explain by him self how good was the car. This particular EVO 1 is the prototype of the EVO 1 and was use by the factory test racing program to experimente news parts. He was also use in 1984 for the reconnaissances of Tour de Corse 1984 and Rallye Sanremo 1984.( documented ) After the season, the prototype was given to Charley Pasquier who was the co driver of Jean Pierre Nicolas in the 1984 season with the 205 T16. After 20 years with the very famous owner ( co owned with Werkle who is his long time friend ), they have decide to sell this perfect EVO 1 205 T16 Road legal

1987 The Car where sold to Norway to Sten Eric Nilsen ( very expensive to import ) with help from John Haugland ( Factory TR 8 driver ). 1988 Sten Erik Nilsen became Norwegian Champion in RallyCross and Hill Climb and Ice Racing in the GR B Class.

The transaction have been done true David Wood Motorsport Consultancy (engineer manager (the boss) from Leyland & Austin Rover Motorsport) who also supply a new "ex works V8 engine dry sump" ( documented). After speaking with David Wood, this one explain that the car was raced by the factory under other plates and then was the final evolution of the TR8. The car was tested to be a GR B but then the project Metro 6R4 was finalize and the TR8 was obsolete with his 2 weels drives. The car have some uniques features like the Chevette lights + the front lights include inside the front bumper.

The cars was in the front of the others rallyes before retiring for accidents or mecanics problems.

Then in 1990 they stopped the group B/4 in Norway. 1999 Sold to Tom Erik Hauger,and totally restored it in 1999.Have been driving rally sprints and hill-climbs in 2000-2003 with many good results.

One of the last 200 built. In 1986 this model was sold 44 000 Eur + 3000 Eur for white nacred paint option.
About 20 of the last models were sold with this white nacred paint.
Car belongs to a high manager of Peugeot Rally team in the 80's. I don't
tell you his name but he's well known. This car was offered to him by Peugeot but he never drove it. Car was stored near Nice at Rally méchanics team manager's place who was charged in starting the car every year. Car is about 120km original. Few but important parts were changed for new...
